Doberman Pinscher ...

The Doberman Pinscher is a relatively 'young' breed of dog. This is a mixed breed dog, i.e. from Rottweilers, Thuringian Shepherds, Greyhound, Great Dane, Weimaraner and German Shorthaired Pointer! Doberman Pinschers make excellent watchdogs and guard dogs, and are often times used in law enforcement. Proud, noble, and alert, the Doberman Pinscher is a dog with plenty of devotion and love to give. However, they are not always the best choice with children. Doberman Pinschers have a lot of energy and need to exercise at least once a day.

The grooming requirements for the Doberman Pinscher are pretty low, and all that is required to keep the coat looking good is an occasional brushing. You can also use a damp cloth occasionally to keep the short coat looking glossy and conditioned. These dogs are medium shedders, and may shed more heavily on a seasonal basis, which means that you may need to step up the grooming during these times. Grooming consists of not only brushing out the coat and bathing but also giving attention to the eyes, teeth, ears, feet and nails. A regular routine also ensures that any potential health problems are identified as quickly as possible, especially important in puppies and older Doberman Pinscher dogs.
