American Eskimo Dog...

The American Eskimo Dog is a breed of companion dog originating in the United States of America in the 20th century. The American Eskimo Dog is one of the Spitz families of Nordic breeds. They are closely related to the white German Spitz. The American Eskimo Dog is a beautiful, snowy white Spitz-type dog. It looks like a miniature Samoyed. There are three varieties: the toy, miniature, and standard. The American Eskimo Dog is intelligent, trainable and a superb agility dog. The American Eskimo Dog gets on well with older, considerate children, and should be okay with other dogs and pets, although they can be predatory when around smaller creatures such as birds and rodents.

Eskies have a long, dense coat and need regular grooming. The thick snowy white coat is easy to groom. To prevent mats and tangles, brush two to four times per week using a firm bristle brush. Brush with a firm bristle brush twice a week. It should be brushed daily when it is shedding. This breed is an average shedder. The American Eskimo Dog needs to be bathed perhaps on a monthly basis.
